The Friday XMAS Swiss started on 12/11 and involves 75 players.  The second seed is Sam Chow in A Division.  Five divisions have been constructed from the entries.  The prize money has been increased in each division to $100 (1st $60, and 2nd $40).

On Tuesdays the Summer Swiss has 35 entrants.

Next Sunday (21 November) is a Rookies cup competition starting at 12.30pm.  Adults are welcome and can win a cash prize.

13.11.04. 2004 Xmas swiss

This year there are 75 players again in 5 divisions with FIDE Master Wahab Rashid the top seed in division A. The time control is 60 minutes plus 10 seconds from move one. This caused some confusion amongst those who had not been listening to the pre-tournament announcement or did not believe the arbiter.

8.11.04 2003 Xmas  Swiss

78 players in 5 divisions played in this tournament last year.  The 2003 winner was our own Denis Bourmistrov who is away this year and is playing in the under 18 section in the World Youth tournament in Crete.  You can see regular updates of his score and others in news from the captain's desk
