Games shall start at 7:30 pm sharp. However,
clocks shall only be started on the instruction of the arbiter. |
| Draw: |
|
Players will receive a set number in their group at the
start of round 1. The draw for each round is then fixed as detailed
below, the first named player having white. |

| Postponements: |
|
Postponements should be avoided as much as possible.
However, if unavoidable, arrangements must be made in advance with the scheduled
opponent to have the game played on the postponed games night. |
| Forfeits: |
|
Players who forfeit twice will be withdrawn from the tournament
and any points gained will be distributed in accordance with standard round
robin playing rules. |
| Laws of chess: |
|
Laws of chess and all FIDE laws of chess, and tournament
rules apply. |
| Ties: |
|
Ties will be broken with the Berger tie-breaking system
in the determination of first place. |
| Prizes: |
|
A $20 prize shall be awarded to the player finishing first
in each group. In case of a tie prize money will be shared. |
| Titles: |
|
The winner in each group will be awarded the title champion
after one of the colours of the rainbow. |
