The closest thing to matchplay you are likely to get.

Double round robin tournaments between four approximately equal rated players with a rest night for postponed games.  The winner in each group will be the champion named after one of the colours of the rainbow.  Seven groups, seven champions.

This is an excellent tournament for players who cannot play in the club championship to be run concurrently on Friday nights, or who prefer a round robin format to a large swiss or for those members who simply have the need for more chess.
