26.04.05 So the
field has settled.
At the half way mark with 4 rounds to go the top players are
locked
together on 3.5 points with early favourite Chris Wallis
lagging slightly.
in the next group on 3 points. A very even tournament indeed.
The venue
is proving very comfortable for the modest field of 36 only slightly
higher
than last year when 33 turned op.
Unfortunately for the last 2 round we have a venue shift to the Box
Hill Town Hall that to be seen to be believed but beautifully
kept

Entries received
One day before the start of the Under 18 Under 16 and Under
14
tournament there are 34 entries. Only one more than last year. We
had
hoped to increase the popularity of the event by a change of dates
and separation of the under 12 tournament from last year but it
seems not to be the case. No entries so far from girls Champion
Casey Hickman under 16 girls championship Elena Galiabovich or Under
14 Girls champion just at a time
when I thought we were getting more girls to play
Vanja Rozenblat. |
